What is used to bring electric to our homes?

I know by powerlines, but where does the power originate from? will we eventually run out of it?

Here's a great site that explains how the power plants work, and how the power grids work to bring electricity to us. Also what produces the power, etc...

well theres a little energy fairy. She flies(renewable energy of course) and every night around 420 she floats into your house and fills your energy bucket. You should leave out a little nugg to brighten up her day!
