I hear that it takes energy to split the bonds of carbon and oxygen.. how could we do this in a gaseous state? Would it make sense to do it at this level? I'd like a $100 dollar device I set out in my backyard next the the mosquito smoker and let it run all night.. or hook it up to my solar collector in the southwest and let it run all day while I'm at work? Ideas?

Hi. Just plant a tree. It's cheap. And runs on solar power.

They already have solar powered CO2 breakdown devices. They run on water and sun, and in addition to converting CO2 into oxygen, they also provide a cooling effect to the immediate area. Some models are designed to last for many centuries of use and actually become more effective with age. At any point, they may be disassembled and 100% recycled into any number of useful products. For $100, you could pick up several of them, and sometimes they are even FREE!

They're called TREES.
