Or is this just scare mongering by environmental journalists. I saw a report on this on TV the other day and it struck me that if they can come up with an exact time scale shouldn't we all have a huge party to send the world off in style?

If fair trade is supposed to reward producers throughout the world with a 'fair' price for their produce, then why is there no 'fair trade' milk for sale in supermarkets, to pay British farmers a 'fair' price for their produce, and stop the supermarkets ripping them off???!!!

I am not a farmer....just a consumer!

grain alcohol, green vegetables & any green waste that is being thrown in the trash heap today, solar, wind, geo-thermal, seaweed, kelp, CHLOROPHYLL synthesized into alcohol by use of an enzyme, CHLOROPHYLL turned into alcohol by the natural process of photosynthesis. ALSO: I have been hearing a lot about CHLOROPHYLL being the NEW SUPER F-O-O-D; that chlorophyll in the human blood stream combines with carbon dioxide molecues in the bloodstream & direct sunshine/OR ANY PLANT LIGHT THAT WILL SUSTAIN PLANT GROWTH INDOORS will release oxygen/sugar glucose a by-product of photosynthesis. Anyone with any thread of info on this subject would you please please share it with me, especially clinical results of how much oxygen/glucose can be produced in the body with phosynthesis. I found my thread under the web search Photosynthesis in the Human Body

There is little to no conclusive scientific evidence that suggests that the world is heating up. There haven't been effectve record keeping methods until the last few hundred years. In fact, in the 1970's there was a scare about "Global Cooling". Pseudo-science is all that it is! What do you think?

Although the moa is extinct, I was wondering whether or not emus would fill the ecological niche of the moa. I'm interested in the concept of "rewilding." Check out this site.

Ok global warming is becoming a problem... with all of the polution in the air and so on... However is it as big a problem as Al Gore says? Yes polution is terrible, but will we all become like the planet Venes one day?

When Lief Erickson first discovered the New World long before Columbus, the Vikings descovered grapes growing in North America around Novia Scotia.therefore they called it Vinland. Many historians say they must have sailed further south, However England has records of citrus fruits being grown at that time in England..so we must conclude that there was a period of global warming at that time. Later in history there were accounts of global cooling and more global warming, like the seasons. In the 1980's scientist feared of a coming global ice age,but know they fear of a global warming greenhouse disaster. Polution may have increased the effects of this period of global warming, but it is just a period. Besides warmer tropical temperatures make plants grow= more oxygen.
