I notice that opera singers hardly ever use microphones during singing/performing on stage yet u can still hear their voice until the back row.

How can they achieve so much power & volume in their voice? How can they sing so loud without cracking/damaging their voice? I mean WOW that's so amazing! Wish I can do that too! Everytime I try to raise my voice I usually end up with a hoarseness & sore throat LOL

We hear from him. I know that he was part of UST's chorale during his college days. So he must be good. However, when I listen to him it just doesn't add up. There's something missing. Ain't it?

I mean, I don't have a professional voice or whatever...but do I sing well, in general? It's me singing the song, so please comment what you think. By the way, I've never took singing lessons before and have no clue what "notes" or "pitches" are...so keep that in consideration. =/ Also, my voice is a little shaky in some parts...sorry! I was kinda nervous!! =] Also...do you think if I got a singing coach or whatever, my voice would be really great? Rate my voice and how it sounds in each song from a scale of 1-10.

When I sing along with songs, I can hit the right notes, but when I try to sing the song without the song playing, I hit all the wrong notes. Can this be fixed? And please don't just say singing lessons, because I don't know if I can afford those! I need some tips on what to do just by myself. Thanks!

I'm looking for some good songs that have both a guy and a girl singing, for I duet with my cousin. Any suggestions? Hopefully a song where the guy and girl sing about the same amount. Thanks!

that are not about the man and the woman being in love/breaking up? Maybe with two enemies or something where it can be emotional but that it isn't even implied that there is something between them? I need a performance piece to sing with my friend, but he and I are both seeing someone else so we don't wanna even imply it!

id love to have the ability to scream just a little to add some more power to the songs i write for my band and maybe just shock the guys during a practice with it. i think itd be a nice addition to our music but i dont want to take away from the actual singing. not looking for anything amazingly original. just something basic. maybe like bert from the used or craig from chiodos. (ok ok..so theyre not basic but thats the general sound im going for)

I used to sing in a choir and the place just under my throat was hurting me really bad at times when I sang really loud. Now my GP just told me that he suspects I got underactive thyroid gland, what do you think?

I have a band in Nashville. There is a club that hires bands to play covers that I would love to play at. We are very good and have a demo CD.

Any recommendations on how I should approach, call, or mail the club owner/manager and sell him on the idea to hire our band?

Its kind of like Karyoke but not quite since the band is live or I can pick the music out of a selection. I thought about singing th the song "You lift me Up. What do you think about it? My 2 kids will be home together for the 1st time in 4 months. I was and still am a single mother.

My daughter is in the high school choir and is interested in having her quartet perform Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody". Where can I find choral music for a quartet for this song? Not necessarily for free; I'm willing to pay.
