I have a band in Nashville. There is a club that hires bands to play covers that I would love to play at. We are very good and have a demo CD.

Any recommendations on how I should approach, call, or mail the club owner/manager and sell him on the idea to hire our band?

Nashville is like Austin or L.A. A lot of mediocre bands are willing to play for peanuts. You might consider renting a space and charging a cover. Or you might play a showcase in front of industry executives. Put together a good promo packet with a CD and a picture.
