I want to buy a used upright piano for $1000 or less in the next year (NOT a keyboard). What brands should I look for? Any brands to avoid?

"March of the Gallows" and "Witche's Sabbath", both by Hector Berloiz. Does anybody have the sheets to them, and if so, could you please send them to me? Or know where I can get them? Thanks!!

Please tell me the name of the piece. It is in Yondi Li's commercial when he's in athletic outfit and riding fast in a bike to his concert. He arrives at the concert hall and started playing the music in his sports outfit. Sorry I can't remember what the commercial is about.

Here are a few notes, as best I can remember:

La, la si mi, mi do la, la si mi, mi do la

Case in point: Bartok's Bagatelle no.1 , the right hand is E Major and the left hand is A flat Major.

What's up with that?

This commercial is at least airing in California. The piece is orchestral and sounds like a mix between a waltz and a Hungarian dance. It definately sounds like it is in 3/4 time. Thanks! :-)

I kinda like classical music but I really love music that has the Violin in it. I just don't know any people that has the Violin in it. To give an example I like the beginning of this video as far as the music goes. Can anyone refer me to some artist with violin in it?

Its great to see people enjoying themselves but isn't it getting a bit corny to watch a bunch of twerps wetting their pants just because they are bobbing up and down and making lots of noise?

I watched this movie again the other night and I thought this song was incredible. I don't remember the composer's name, but I consider this a beautiful example of new classical music. Any opinions?

I have such a strong desire to marry a pianist and that has been the holdout. Maturity too, but I really want to marry a person with musical talent (as I feel I do) and would make such a union so inspiring! Fortunately, I am a dabbler and self-taught in piano and voice with great musical knack so my inspiration from a great pianist would never end!

How can I marry a person who has piano ability? Not necessarily concert pianist, but perhaps church pianist...or hobbie pianist? I am so devoted to this instrument I can't imagine living without it and if I could choose a partner, it would have to be a pianist who can understand this strong feeling toward music and piano.

Murray Perahia in 1994, mulling over career decisions he had made, in search for something 'bigger', in search of an 'heroic' style, concluded ruefully that he had consequently made the mistake of thinking that it could be gained through 'being louder'. I recognise myself as having committed that fallacy at some point in the past too. Is this a purely pianistic affliction, or are we musicians all heir to this particular 'sin of the musical flesh' at some point in our development?

He is the most pathetic, unemotional pianist whose brilliant technique covers up his mediocrity. I have to find somewhere to hide before people attack. Oh..... I forgot the question. do you agree, or is it just me who thinks this way?
