I am really interested in violin. I once studied piano (only for half a year when I was 8). Iam also looking for a teacher (manila and lipa city) and an instrument but I only have a budget of 12,500 - is this enough for even a month?

something a little upbeat would be nice. it's for a picture slideshow, and i don't want to put people to sleep in it. it has to have NO LYRICS. i know there are a bunch of songs like "american soldier" but i can't use them, has to be orchestra, symphony, whatever you want to call it.

i've listened to the soundrtacks of saving private ryan and thin red line, boooooring. i need something that can keep someone interested for three and a half to four minutes.

I love David Lanz' piano solos but I don't have any idea what else is out there in the way of piano-based instrumental music. Any suggestions?

I would really love a recording of Mahler 7, the Prom which BBC4 is showing on Sunday Sept 2. Problem is, my video cannot record from a digital channel. Has anyone the means of doing this for me either on video or DVD? I'll be attending the actual Prom at the Albert Hall but am desperate for a full recording of the concert. Will pay for DVD/video plus p&p.

There are a lot of people asking asking questions relating to film music, as well as other genres of music, that is in no way related to CLASSICAL MUSIC! I'm not quite sure if this stems from ignorance, or there is another explanation, but I am kind of getting annoyed. To all of you who have questions not relating to classical music, please go elsewhere with your inquiry.
Thank you,
Steve

I dunno how to edit my previous question so here it goes again: im looking for dramatic/powerful orchestral (maybe classical) music that is used trailers, soundtracks, some nba clips. Wanna know the name of style, and the bands that play it.. Heres few samples of songs that took me months to find (found today!).. 1st - Christopher fields gothic power 2nd - E.S. posthumus -pompeii. The 3rd was used in Spider-Man 2 TRAILER, it might be called 'lacrimosa'. I hope it helps!

"Hoodoo" is from Muse's album 'Black Holes and Revelations' and the piano sounds sooo familiar. I have no clue where it might be from, but I know I've heard it before.

Are there any places where I can have songs arranged for piano personally and professionally? Perhaps this forum, if anyone is generous enough ... :) Because there are some pieces I'd like to play that simply can't be found anywhere on the internet. Specifically, I'm looking for Under the Stars from the Lion King soundtrack. I have tried to find at least a midi file for this song (so that I could send it to a midi notation program) but no luck....
