so far I know of Bach, Vivladi, Corelli, Telemann, Torelli, Marcello, Couperin, and Rameau. I am looking for music that is a bit easy to come by if not impossible. I also like film composers like John Williams and James Horner.

I play violin and I love Bach's Concerto in A minor and E major, and Vivaldi's Concerto in A minor.
Are there any other pieces similar to those.

Thanks so much.

I know Tchaikovsky is not modern though. I mean something like Ravel's Pavane for a Dead Princess.

Hello my daughter is in 8th grade, and she is playing the violin. Her goal is to become concertmaster. Her competitors are playing Wienawski, and Mendelssohn
my daughter's wondering whether she should play Lalo, or Tchaikovsky (not the 3rd movement but the intro.)
Any suggestions for the piece she should play?

I am looking for classical pieces- namely Canon and Eine Kleine Nachtmusik- that have been remixed as dance tracks by adding electronic drum beats and sped up a little. I know such tracks exist because I hear them occasionally in movies or on TV shows. I am particularly looking for the Canon remix because I would like to use it in my wedding- it fits my personality so much more than the traditional symphonic version. Thanks in advance for your help!!

There is this classical piece that I hear around Halloween a lot, but I have no clue who the composer is or its title. It starts out slower and goes faster and faster ... it sounds kinda scary / sinister and is played loudly ... cymbals and all. I could hum it, but humming doesn't transcribe well. I realize this isn't much to go on, but perhaps someone has an idea.

I have built a webset about canon in d by Pachelbel, but~~~
but it's written in Chinese not English.
I have collected more than 170 different pieces of canon in my websit.
Do you think I should build another one written by English?

I am close to finishing my doctorate in choral conducting with a minor in orchestral conducting. I have realized over the course of my studies that while I enjoy teaching choirs (in a university setting), I would prefer to conduct orchestras on a more professional level. I am finding it difficult to switch over if for no other reason, because it is hard to get orchestral conducting experience without an orchestra. Any thought on how this transition may be made smoothly?
