Sentinel - Mike Oldfield
it's the opening track from his album Tubular Bells II, so it sounds similar to Tubular Bells - which was the theme for The Exorsist.
O Fortuna - Carl Orff
Chi Mai - Ennio Morricone
Sadness - Enigma
Adagio For Strings - Samuel Barber
Agnus Dei {Adagio for Strings} - David Hill

If you want, try Toccata and Fugue in D by Bach -- it's played a lot during Hallowe'en (it's in one of the cards in the store I work at for Hallowe'en).
Or you could try Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, the First few minutes of it.
You can listen to these on ProjectPlaylist.com.

Edit: You could also try Edvard Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King, another classic.

I am assuming something that is mysterious ... simple but slightly spooky and atmospheric ..... much of Debussy will fill that bill also Satie also would work as long as you don't use that one Gymnopedie that everyone knows ... there also dozens recorder ensembles (the slow ones) which with the right visuals would creep you out for a few days
