what are some depressing songs played only on the piano

it starts out on the C note, and the next note is E, but it is one octave lower...so the notes are as follws: CECC, ECCEFE, DDBB, DBBDEDCCAA, CAACDCBBG#G# if you have a piano, you could play those notes (remember you're starting at one octave and then going lower) if you know what the song is called and/or who composed it, i would soooo appreciate it! thanks!

for example if you were given the notes D-Db, would this be considered a diminished prime? or is it simply a minor second? and conversely is there such a thing as an augmented prime (ex. C-C#), or is this simply a minor second as well?

You can listen to a wav file that I recorded on my phone here:
http://www.geocities.com/blackettcj/Recording2.wav
The recording is of a 'sassy' mobile we got for our baby. Can anyone tell me what the official name of this piece of music is, and whether it is by Brahms or not?

What are some felicitous pairings: which conductors with which orchestras?

And do you think some orchestras play the music of some composers better than the music of others? Could you suggest why? And which orchestras are most at home with which composer?

Could you suggest how a conductor gets not only ensemble playing, but a specific interpretation, a specific sound? In other words, how is the communication made so the orchestra knows what the conductor is after?

Thank you for your thoughts

the note B is on the bottom and Bb is at the top... B to Bb... what is the name of this interval and what's the explanation? My guess would be diminished prime, but i'm not sure such an interval even exists...

I am not at all educated in classical music, and many of the more popular pieces I hear don't really touch me, but Pachelbel's Canon in D Major is one of the most exquisite pieces of music I've ever heard. I'm looking for more stuff that has that same sound and is equally beautiful.

I'm familiar with the more prolific composers, but I've never heard anything from Vivaldi/Mozart/Beethoven/etc. that rivals this song, and would love to have some knowledge dropped on me.

Me and my friend want to do a duo for our State band competition this year, and we would like to do something along the lines of a "fur elise" duo, except on the trombones. I have spent some time searching, and was just wondering if someone knew if there was such a book that had a fur elise duo in it for trombones, and where I could get it?

I play the piano. Can anybody tell me the notes of the a flat major and f minor prefect cadence (the one you play at the end of a scale)

My teacher also taught me a way to figure it out for all scales. So if you can also tell me how to do this, you will get best answer.

was asked by a young lady regarding the form of the second movement of Mozart's Piano concerto in A K. 488. (A number of responders rightly gave her hell for asking us to do her homework -- some very amusing exchanges) But It piqued my interest and I did a superficial analysis.

3 sections, A-B-A, each A section in the key of f#minor with nearly identical material, the middle with new material in the relative major - A. What is the form?

Best answer goes to first correct answer.

Thanks

Mine is Pachelbel's "Canon". It sends shivers down my spine
whenever I hear it .... so beautiful to listen to.

I also find Holtz's "Jupiter" very moving.

And you ?
