Your mother may have misremembered Rachmaninoff's Bohemian Caprice (Caprice Bohémien) for orchestra, op.12. Obviously, as Malcolm pointed out, there is no copyright protection on generic titles, so there are certainly more Bohemian Rhapsodies out there, one by Claude-Henry Joubert, for instance, but his effort certainly won't be at the heart of your question, I'd say...
How about, in the interest of filial/parental harmony, calling it a draw? :-))

Bohemian Rhapsody" (help·info) is a song written by Freddie Mercury and originally recorded by the band Queen for their 1975 album A Night at the Opera.

There are paraphrases in that song of Rossini's "Barber of Seville" overture -- but they are just little snippets.
There are many pieces with Rhapsody in the name, most famously the Hungarian Rhapsodies of Franz Liszt. I cannot find a classical piece by that name -- that doesn't mean there isn't one -- and then there are the "Bohemian Dances" of Smetena. Best I can do.
You may be ten quid richer soon.

what your Mom is referring to is that middle section ... Galileo and Magnificat .... it is definitely copy of one or more pieces ... a couple of bars here and couple of bars there but the rest of the song is all Freddie .... give her the tenner
If you want to hear how versatile Freddie could be find the Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballe CD he wrote that entirely for her .... he uses her incredible voice beautifully
EDIT Malcolm D has it right (I misread the question) There aren't any pieces I could find called Bohemian Rhapsody besides Queen ... there are several CDs called that but no piece
YOU GET THE TENNER

There are numerous rhapsodies in the classical canon, none that I am aware of are called "Bohemian Rhapsody."
This particular piece, as you can see from the other answers, is purely a creation of the band.
So tell your mum to cough up the tenner.

There wasn't anyone else who sang the song before Freddie Mercury. Freddie Mercury wrote the song, therefore were the first to ever play it. So, you were right and your mother was wrong. :D

Mum's almost certainly thinking of "Hungarian Rhapsody" by Franz Liszt. Buy her something nice with the 10 quid!
