In fact some do. My first encounter with Hindu-based music was a track on the Warner Bros. album "Mark O'Connor - Heroes": "Nomad," a violin duet with a backing ensemble of tabla and tamboura, fretless bass lute, and other instrumentation typical of the south of India (excepting a Moog synthesizer used to generate a bass drone), with an arrangement consistent with the Hindu religious-theatre customs. Hindu music has numerous regional subgenres, each with unique instruments; the sitar, an archlute, is encountered in the Himalaya foothills and typical of the northern music schools, for instance. An expert in this field could probably identify the exact music school by its raga, as raga are passed down from master to apprentice and not printed, unlike the U.S. and European standard procedures.

As for Mangeshkar, he's an artist unknown to me, but he may be a consistent seller in the Hindu communities in parts of California.

i've got observed Classical music is an adventure. this is not any longer something you are able to hear to for 3 minutes and be directly to the subsequent "music." on condition that they are all products (like Beethoven's 5th) those can span an hour which you're able to desire to hearken to all of it to totally get the adventure. additionally, it purely does not have the "flashy" image or sound that countless dad is linked with presently. that's what i think of.
