Beethoven wrote "Missa Solemnis" but it is not technically a requiem mass. I'm not aware of a requiem that he wrote.

Perhaps you are thinking of Mozart's Requiem? And it is not a song, but an entire requiem mass. I'm guessing that what you are looking for is a single movement from that. I am further guessing that what you want is the "Lacrimosa" movement which seems to be the most popular.

Beethoven didn't write a Requiem - there is an "Elegiac Song" (Elegischer Gesang) for four voices and string quartet (Op. 118), if that's what you're thinking of. Some of the more famous Requiems are by Mozart, Verdi, Brahms, Faure, and Durufle, so you might also try there. Good luck!
