Does anybody know where I can find policies for Ontario Catholic Teachers in regards to their personal lifestyle ie. children out of wedlock, sex before marriage, same sex relationships?

Does anybody know any cases in canada that I can use as precedence for supporting the above?

Does anybody know how the policies differ for public school teachers?

I have heard of catholic schools terminating teachers based on their sexuality, based on their out of wedlock relationships, children out of wedlock and even of one women being fired for using IVF...anybody have any info on this

I have a student that has emotional outbursts when he doesn't get what he wants. They are getting progressively more violent. Today he knocked a flower pot off my shelf and shattered it. The other day he threw a box of crayons onto somebody. My principle says to give him as little positive/negative attention as possible. I would like to find a way to prevent the outburst to begin with.

I am currently a student in highschool. I noticed that a lot of the students that I meet and am friends with want to become special education teachers. I think it is great that they want to get into teacher, especially one that is in such high demand. But I was wondering: why special education? why not math or history? I also noticed that many of the special needs teachers around the school are young graduate students. Why is the field so popular?

Many students and I at our high school are very annoyed and frustrated at a biology teacher. We are in high level classes (in the IB program. If you dont know what that is, it is similar to AP courses except the ciriculum is taught internationally). This teacher is not teaching effectivly. He/she is not even giving lectures. We (the students) simply copy down notes. We were told to write a research paper, and afterwards found that we were not to write in 1st person. The teacher did not tell us that. He/she said that our other teachers were supposed to tell us that. The other teachers have enough ono their plates already. Why should they tell us how to write a paper for biology? You can see why we have problems. Do you think we have the right to request that this teacher be removed because she is ineffective in teaching?

Most teachers make 30K and up. This is a good salary. And yet,
there is a pervasive mentality that schools and teachers need more
funding.

I am a freshman in highschool, and there is this teacher that everyone likes a lot, but the principal thinks she is a bad teacher. She got evaluated and she only "partially meets the standards". Its not like we dont learn from her, we all learn a lot! I dont think that the principal likes her. She makes learning fun and I dont know why he thinks that shes a bad teacher. What should I do to keep her around?

As a parent of a first grader, what do I do if the teacher is currently 1 month behind on curriculum? It's only November! I volunteer in the classroom. I feel I am hurting the teachers feelings by asking questions about my childs progress. I've noticed that some of the students are still learning to read, and a lot of time is spent with them. My child has about 1.5 hours of uninstructional reading time a day, since he's reading at 2nd grade level.
They haven't even started handwriting yet! He comes home almost every day in tears saying he's not learning and when he has a question, he's not being noticed. He tells me he can not concentrate on written worksheets while other children are involved in playful activities during Math time. (other students flicking pennies across the floor, instead of using them to count) Has a hard time focusing in such a chaotic atmosphere.
Just don't know what to do, or how to approach the teacher who is extremely overwhelmed.

I have 12+ years of IT skills and leadership. I have had my fill and really want to teach...possibly history. I hear there is a shortage of teachers but I can't figure out the path to get there. This is for the Denver, Colorado area.
