Teacher salaries vary from state to state and even county to county within states.

No matter where you live, though, teachers are amongst the most underpaid of all working professionals. As a result, it is very difficult to get well-qualified teachers in our classrooms.

Depends on what school you work for. But being a teacher is more about teaching the younger generation and being with kids isn't it?

It depends on the county/parish you work in and the district. Also what kind of governor you have also helps. I know in Louisiana, in my parish, most teachers start off at 33,000 a year.
