I was thinking about being a foreign exchange student in either spain or ecuador. On the Ayusa website it says for experience: 1 year of spanish for ecuador and 2 years for spain. I have taken 5 semesters or 2 and half years of spanish so far and next semester I will be on AP or advanced placement spanish. I'm still not sure how cofortable I feel about knowing the language but would love to be a foreign exchange student. So how well should you know spanish to be a foreign exchange student in spain or ecuador?

I would like to study abroad in South Africa and would like to choose the most reliable program. I was wondering how early do I have to apply if I want to study there from July '08 to Jan '09 or for a whole year from July to July? Do you get to pick the dates of your study or do they pick for you? About how much does it cost for either a whole year or a semester? Is a 3.5 good enough or do you have to have a 4.0? Do you get to pick the city that you will be staying in? How old do you have to be to stay for a whole year...if you go there while you're 17 and then turn 18 during the year, is that okay? Or is it strictly before 18? Is there anything else I need to know? What about your experiences? Sorry for the very long question...all answers are greatly appreciated!!!

I just got involved with a program called People to People that sends kids around the world to learn hands on about different cultures. I've never been out of the country, or the state for that matter, and suddenly I have an opportunity to go to France, Italy, and Greece to learn all about their way of life there. So I REALLY want to go. But first I have to raise six thousand dollars and before June! I'm just about to turn thirteen and I'm not really sure how to raise that much money... Please does anyone have any suggestions? I *really really* want to go! I've read the description of the trip and there's so many amazing things I get to see and do and I will learn SO much. I understand there's things like babysitting and lawn mowing and such, but I don't know how to get set up with those jobs and I need to raise like a thousand a month... what should I do??? Thank you so much for helping!

I am not referring to one of those fake degrees you can buy online. What I'm looking for is a serious well known establishment either in the U.S. or the U.K. that offers a PhD degree through correspondence.
