I have worked in US, middle East, Sweden and am now in Canada for the last 8 years.

Jobs in India have the highest vertical growth which means that starting as a MBA, you might see yourselves as the country head or the Vice President of the company in a few years.

Jobs in western countries have a horizontal growth but fail vertically in the long run. My manager is still a manager and I am still a project lead even after 8 years. But I have learnt many many things that make me versatile. The money hasn't grown that much though.

In western countries, professional certifications matter a lot. If you have something from Microsoft, IBM or Sun, that would help. If you have a PMP or Prince2, that should help as well. What is very important in these countries is your ability to communicate and do your job efficiently.

Good Luck in your pursuit.

If job is the main key, work for a while in India and surely you will get a good job abroad within one/two years.

Dont waste money for nothing to some business schools in west.

They will teach you nothing more than what we know/what is thought in India and will just get the money from you as a course fees.

Nowadays, indians are considered as first preference for the international openings.

Just for thought:

Do you think that all Indians working abroad are foreign literates?
