Unfortunately, if you were to come to the U.S. on a student visa you would not be allowed to work here, and most scholarships are given to domestic students. Since you are in theology, you might see if your church can sponsor you for the degree, or if they could send you over to the U.S. as part of a work/study kind of project. Most international students in the U.S. are here either on their independent wealth or sponsored by their governments.

To be accepted into a U.S. undergraduate program you must have three things:

1) A Student Visa - This allows international students to travel to the US to study. You can find useful information here - http://educationusa.state.gov/usvisa.htm

2) SAT scores - This is a standardized test that all colleges require for admissions. You can find more information and register here - http://www.collegeboard.com/about/association/international/satfaq.html

3) TOEFL scores - This test allows international students to study in the US. You can learn more and register here -

To help you pay for your US education you can apply for scholarships. Scholarships are free sources of money that you can use to pay for your school expenses, and you don't have to pay them back! You can read more about them here:

If you can't get any scholarships then you can apply for a student loan. This means you will borrow the money to pay for college and then pay it back once you graduate. Here are sites that list international student loans:

get a student visa. and then if you decide to stay after your schooling ends, you can apply for a green card. getting a scholarship shouldnt be hard for an international student. you have to be really smart though. getting job should be tough since most places require to be
legal" to work in US. but i'm sure whatever university you go to should be able to help you find a part time job.
good luck
