when i went to pick my daughter up from school earlier i was told by her friends that she was in the classroom crying, i went to see what was wrong and the teacher informed me that she would have to stay behind to finish her work.
when i said to her that she couldnt keep a 7 yr old after school she just said that my daughter had to finish her work and that she had the same amount of time as everyone else, the teacher was very rude and wouldnt let me get a word in.
i then told my daughter to put her pen down and that it was time to go the teacher said that she would have to take the work home with her (i said no to that coz she already has 2 peices of homework to do this week).
all throughout this the teacher was very rude and my daughter was crying her eyes out.
can teachers keep primary school children after school to finish work?
surely its not right, should i make a formal complaint?

Lately I have noticed that when asking for things she wil say:
"mummy can can can can can can can I please have a biscuit"
or "do do do do do you want to play"
Why is this, is it a phase/normal, is that a type of stutter its not a letter in a word it is the whole first word.
She is a lovely normal little girl, healthy and her speech has been quite advanced since an early age, should I be doing something about this now?

Or does it encourage bad spelling habits? I mean, look at the way teens spell words these days, leave out vowels--ect. Is this because they are being allowed to spell words phonetically in school?

I thought about that long and hard and still have no answer, i cannot think of an example of algebra being used, where another method wouldn't have been much easier. I do however understand that it may be used in higher education and perhaps be associated with sciences i haven't yet studied, but standard algebra that you're taught is school... what use is it?

I'm curious because fast is an adjective, and blazing modifies an adjective, so does it take the adverbial form.

Please write your comments. Today in board exams we just have to by-heart every thing and just rewrite, so are they testing our memory or our intelligence?

I've been in the process of choosing between high schools, and I finally settled on one, but I still have thoughts of the one I turned down. I wonder what it would be like to go there, etc.

How do I stop thinking of what the other thing might be like, and focus on what I chose??

I mean I dont want to, so i dont need you to advise me against it, its just circumstances might make it necessary. I mean if things go like i think they will I am going to have to earn enough to support myself, so i dont know if ill be able to go back to school in the fall.

so my question is, I am sure that level of education will deter from me getting good jobs in the future so is there any way of me making up for it? I know i could take a GED but is the considered the same? would i be able to get into a college with that?
Is there a way i could finish high school at night or something
and if i dont will it severely limit job possibilities?

Thanks...

My younger sister now goes to the same school I used to.

She, also, is having trouble with a teacher I had trouble with when I was at school.

This particular male teacher is a complete bully, and several times I was physically and verbally abused by him throughout my time at that school. By physically, In mean he had grabbed me roughly, and once grabbed my hand which was wrapped an a bandage after I got burnt. It makes me so angry looking back, that he was able to get away with that behaviour, it wasn't just me, it was many students who suffered this kind of treatment, often shouting at pupils telling them they were morons etc.

Now my sister is getting the same treatment, but the school are siding with the teacher. She is very shy and can't stick up for herself very well.

What can be done??? Is there a council or an organisation who can help? Please help.
