I'm 21 years old and fixing to finish my A.A (I know I'm a little behind, had trouble with finishing one class). I have considered many fields in the human services field, however none seem to spark an interest. I have a creative personality, I like to write(and good at it), and I like variety. I have thought about becoming a nurse but the idea of that much responsibility and seeing incompetent nurses and doctors makes me wary, also I'm not that good at math(hence the wait on the class-college algebra.) I like politics, keeping up with news, and want a job that helps people.(Also considering social work). Any jobs that anyone know of that emcompasses love for advising people, creative writing(or informational), i like to talk, and like to move around and be outside(though not a must). just some feedback, thanks!

I go to a high school with almost 3000 students. There is so much traffic to get to the school on time because we have buses and driving seniors. As a matter of fact more people get there late than early. The prinipal has issued a new rule. Any person late to homeroom will get a detention. So this means traffic isnt an excuse, the fact that our school is massive isnt an excuse, oversleeping isnt an excuse, car breakdown or accident, is no excuse .. pretty much the only excuses are if your on the bus or you have a doctors note. Now I have never had a detention in my life and I'll be damned if I have to have one because I was running a little late one morning. No ones perfect! Do you think this policy is fair?

I just came back from two gruelling exams. Advanced English (wrote 16 pages) and Economics (wrote 12). My hand is cramped, I have a headache and I need some effective ways of de-stressing for say, 3 hours. Then I have to get to work for Biology and Maths tommorow.

Thanks! (Don't say sleep though, because I need to be awake for later study!)

Our Concert Choir is going on tour to San Diego, CA this year and we need some fresh ideas for raising funds (it looks like it will cost $975 per student). We will be touring April of 2008 but we need to start making payments now.

Fundraising we already have lined up:
~ Entertainment books (we get $6 per book we sell)
~ Radio Jazz Hour ($5 per ticket)
~ Silent Movie Night ($5 per ticket)
~ Val-o-grams (buy a singing Valentine for your sweetheart)
~ Candles (traditional but less so than candy)

Anyone have more ideas or know of sites where ideas can be found?

I try my hardest in school. Honestly. I am in 8th grade. There are 3 different math leveles. Pre-algebra, algebra, and honers algebra. I got algebra and i really think it is a mistake. I don't understand any of it, my head really hurts when i'm doing it. I wind up being very furesterated with it. I need help understanding algebra. Either i switch to pre algebra or i get to know algebra,
My teacher is an idiot too and just goofs off.

Can you tell me how to learn algebra?

It is my 2nd year studying at a community college and I still don't know what I should major in. I've no idea what I'm good at, but I like art (even though I don't think I have the talent to compete with other art students.) I've asked many people for advice, but all I'm really getting is "just wait...try different classes...etc"
Anyone got any different advice??

P.S. I'm thinking of going to Japan to learn from different perspectives...maybe I'll know what I should do then
