I want to try out for IB once I get to High School, but is it your grades in 7th or 8th grade that count? I live in the United States if that makes a diffrence?

Hey! I do IB too!!! It is a very rewarding programme that really pays off in the future. It is tough, but definitely worth it, and not outrageously impossible!! lol. Ummm, you can start as early as elementary school, but I did it in middle school and you can do it thru high school too. It is an interest based programme, so you don't need to have super awesome grades to qualify. It's just basically if you are willing to put in the extra work, then they welcome you to do it. You need to keep a C average, but if you turn in homework and projects, that's really half of it. Definitely do it! Good Luck :-).

In the local schools here they have some kind of fast track program in the middle schools, and then another fast track kind of program in 9th and 10th grades, and then formal IB in 11th and 12th. Study hard, get good grades, and see if they have fast track or accelerated classes in your school. Why don't you ask your guidance counselor or favorite teacher?
