There is a team building, creativity exercise where team members get a raw egg and are required to build a basket out of drinking straws. Then they throw the contraption out of the window on the hope their contraption will stop the egg from breaking.

I have been looking online and found a number of cool variations, but I want to original with just an egg and drinking straws. What I am curious about is how many drinking straws I should give to each group.

By the way, I have done this before with little children, but I gave them lots of straws and masking tape to make their contraption.

but with this qualify
5-excelent student
4-good student
3-regular student
2-bad student
1-the worst student
im telling that because in my country we use this qualify to asses student from high school

for example im Adding the average of my six years of high school and i got 3.57 it gets me in the regular student category so i'd like to know if it could be my GPA scale because in this case im using a scale from 1 to 5

I got kicked out of our economics class today because i never pay attention... the problem is i type extremely fast and the teacher always talks about **** that doesnt have to do with the subject. I was doing my biology work in his class and he came over and asked me what i was doing and i told him truthly that i was doing biology and he said, "I will tell your teacher to send you here during biology." i said "Okay, I'm sorry, i apologize." He then responded," Leave, go talk to your counselor, your not welcome in this class anymore."

I could not go to my counselor today (practice) and i can't talk to her until tommorrow after school. I have economics between then, what should i do?

What are your thoughts on those who achieve their degrees online through accredited online schools? What professions do you feel warrant traditional schooling as opposed to online schooling? Why?

Employers:
What are your thoughts on applicants or the currently employed who have achieved their degrees through online means?

I know the very basics about the major wars, other history topics and other subjects generally taught in high school which I've been out of for quite a few years :) Though I was wondering if anyone who considers themselves to be 'book smart' could give me a run down of topics that can help a person to be a more literate and well-rounded individual. Thank you so much!

We're supposed to write a letter arguing about a problem at school. I decided I'd tackle the lunch room issue at my school, though I'm sure this problem is repeated through out the country. In a nutshell the lunchroom is crowded and the lines are so long that the last person to get lunch has 5 minutes or less to eat. Which is a little ridiculous. I can see 10-15 minutes, but 5? They say they (the school) will to make more room next year, but what about this year? Any suggestions???

I transferred into a school which is at a faster pace.Last year I was in honors math which is pre-algebra.Here the honors course is Adv.Algebra.I took Algebra in summer school but that was a lot to learn. I studied some Algebra with my tutor but she's away.I'm scheduled to be in the Adv. math but I'm supposed to be in Algebra.Today I took a test in Adv.algebra but I know I did bad. I didn't understand alot of questions.Do you think that I should transfer to Algebra before humiliating myself by doing bad?I'm in 8th grade. In my old school, I was considered smart. Now, I'm not so sure.I want a career in medicine and pharmacy.I know my math needs to be strong. The counselor said that I wouldn't be able to take an AP math or something(not sure) in high school because I didn't take Algebra II(adv.algebra)so I would've to take it in college. Will this affect getting into pharmacy school if I'm in Algebra-not able to take AP in HS.?I
didn't start yet so I don't know exactly how hard it will be

My friend and I are making a board for a Japanese exchange student to welcome her to our class. We already have the words "Welcome Saki" on the board and can't figure out anything else. We know basic Japanese, and have the internet and a printer at our fingers. Any suggestions you can give would be helpful.

Do you think teachers deserve more pay/encentives? Do you think that your country/state's educational system needs improvement? What, in your opinion, could be done to improve education and the perception of teaching as a profession?

I'm homeschooled I will be going into 11th grade. This year I wanted to do keystone national highschool. I found out that I can't do it because in order to register you need a portfolio. Something happend to all my test, reports, and essays. So therefore I don't have a portfolio. I don't know what to do I need to enroll into an online high school asap. So if anyone knows of an online highschool that doesn't require a portfolio I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
