I transferred into a school which is at a faster pace.Last year I was in honors math which is pre-algebra.Here the honors course is Adv.Algebra.I took Algebra in summer school but that was a lot to learn. I studied some Algebra with my tutor but she's away.I'm scheduled to be in the Adv. math but I'm supposed to be in Algebra.Today I took a test in Adv.algebra but I know I did bad. I didn't understand alot of questions.Do you think that I should transfer to Algebra before humiliating myself by doing bad?I'm in 8th grade. In my old school, I was considered smart. Now, I'm not so sure.I want a career in medicine and pharmacy.I know my math needs to be strong. The counselor said that I wouldn't be able to take an AP math or something(not sure) in high school because I didn't take Algebra II(adv.algebra)so I would've to take it in college. Will this affect getting into pharmacy school if I'm in Algebra-not able to take AP in HS.?I
didn't start yet so I don't know exactly how hard it will be

Also, I'm not sure what AP or honors class I can't take in HS if I take only Algebra. The guidance councler said that I have to take that(or those) classes in college. Will that affect me trying to go to a Pharmacy school (with the PharmD prog.), like Ernest Mario? That's my MAIN concern. I know you should take as many math and sci. AP classes as you can, but I will miss an AP in HS if I go to Algebra. I'm really worried that I won't be accepted.

I would go with the higher math class. This is because in college you are required to take calculus and even statistics in order to get into pharmacy school.

You need to take Algebra before Advanced Algebra. Without the basics of Algebra, Advanced Algebra will make no sense. Algebra and statistics are the two most important maths in pharmacy. At Rutgers, http://pharmacy.rutgers.edu/new_students/FAQ.htm#catG taking AP Calculus will force you to take another calculus course, and that is not appealing in my eyes.
