If a person knows more than you does that necessarily make them smarter than you?

Can your learning potential out-way that of someone who knows more than you now?

Think of it this way, a 20 gig hard drive is full to the max, it holds a lot of information...

But, a 40 gig hard drive, that holds only 10 gig's of information, still has the potential to hold more information...

I am having trouble expressing my question from thought to words, but you get the idea right?

I had to go to a Saturday Detention but I woke 30 minutes late and I had to go to some weddin' that day too that took place in the morning would you take that as an excuse especially if their a family friend and would they really go and ask my parents ? B/C if that doesn't work I will get suspended which is really really wack.

HI! I am In 8th grade... I moved to a a new house and had to switch schools last year. i live only 25 minutes from the high school that i want to go to... near my old neighborhood. There are high chances of getting a girl in that school. My parents said if i can get a 3.75 GPA all year long than i can go there. But if i dont then im goin to some other gay highschool that i hate! So basically i have three weeks to get 3 B`s to A`s. How can i do that? What will help me focus? I am a pretty bad test taker. Ok....so for my AP english class I have to lead a class discussion over chapters 20-23 of Jane Eyre. We're supposed to go over..."basic comprehension, clarification, inference and synthesis, analysis, personal opinion/experience, prediction, and key passages." If you have any suggestions or creative ideas on how to present the material from the chapters in regards to the areas listed please tell me! Games, activities, charts, etc. would be appreciated. Also, if we play a song (any song) that can relate to a portion of chapters 20-23, we can receive extra credit...so song ideas would be great! Thanks :)

I am taking an English Language Acquisition class, and i've been reading all about different ESL programs and how great they are supposed to be for the average student who finds him/herself in an english speaking classroom when english is a strange language. it made me wonder. so if you are (or were) learning english as a second language, please answer:

what really helped you learn?
how old are/were you?
what did your teachers do that worked for you?
what did they do that didn't work at all?
were you in an ESL program? did you like it?
how would you change they way you are/were taught if you were teaching others in the same situation?

i'd really love to hear from someone who had experience with this, i think what you have to say can be more helpful than my textbooks.
