Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel.

As for the national aspect, united Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Israel, but the Palestinians also have claims on the city, at least the eastern part thereof, and seek to make it their capital.

According to UN, most of Jerusalem is an occupied land. Although Israel declared that it had annexed it and unified with what is called western Jerusalem after it had occupied it in the 6 days war, 1967, but almost all countries in the world did not identify it as capital of Israel. Only 3 or 4 countries did which even if I told you their names you will never find them on the map. One of them even called MICROnizia. Recently, one of them even decide to withdraw its embassy from there back to Tel Aviv few months ago. As most of the American congress is brain washed by Israeli propaganda (or whatever their reason) they always adapted a law requesting the government to move its embassy to Jerusalem but always the presidents refused not to damage the credibility of USA in the world any more. Are surprised now that most people replied to you that it is Jerusalem? This is what is called propaganda and its effect on Americans..

Jerusalem.

However, many countries keep their embassies in Tel Aviv so to avoid Arabs getting mad and going on Jihad.
