Study the material. Take notes in class. Pay close attention. Write down any thing that,
A) the teacher outlines
B.)the teacher writes on the chalk board.
C) the teacher repeats.
D) the teacher says will be on the test.
E) Always attend class.
Do all required readings. Re-arrange your schedule to devote 3 hours per night to doing the recommended readings and writings.
Plan so that you don't do readings and writings on the night before the test. Plan ahead so that you are done 2 nights before. Allow yourself PLENTY of time to do your readings and report writing in advance. Sacrifice some social time. Your grades will be there long after your friends are gone and the nights at the bar, the movies, with the girls are over.
If you have trouble in math, get a tutor, most schools offer it for free. If you don't understand something, ask a question.

Study and if you loose focus on the lesson, check for ADD or some other disorder...when you study, get a nice quiet place, write things down or try reading them out loud.

Do you have a learning disability? Ask your teacher about resources for that in your school. If not, tutoring could help.

You have to study and do your best. Sometimes you could ask your teachers. If you have a good teacher, those types of teachers will help you, as long as you help yourself.

Teachers can help you with that if you ask them. But you have to make the effort and continue with it.
There are tutors, but they can be expensive. If you work hard, you can do it. Start tomorrow and ask one teacher a day what you can do to improve!
