Well Americans get July 4th. As for the rest white people have a long history taught in schools and that are written in history books. Our soldiers (mostly white) get Memorial day, and Labor Day. I think those days put together out weigh Black history month, so I say let them have their month and learn other peoples history. And we are all Americans......mostly:)

i imagine the point is that's what takes position the different 11 months of the three hundred and sixty 5 days...I doubt you're extremely feeling very deprived of white historic previous. in actuality, if given the alternative of having a white historic previous month, i wager maximum of you may want to bypass the classification or substitute the channel. The humorous aspect is i'm fairly particular this youngster in hardship-free words printed the question to work out who he can make mad and a collection of babies replied through agreeing with him! Oh and the rationalization whites aren't to any extent further referred to as "eu people" is uncomplicated- determination. It develop into by no skill an insult to be referred to as "white" and the alternative to go back from europe is a few thing people are happy with. It develop into no longer a call for the "African people" and hence they could elect to sense a connection with their ancestors' position of foundation.

I would guess that the Fourth of July should cover Americans. As for why there isn't any certain month designated for white people, I think that the phrase 'white peope' includes people of different races and backgrounds. It would be difficult to say exactly what to celebrate during a month like this. There are while Polish people, Irish people, English, etc. When you have something like Black history month, all the people in this group generally share the same background, culture, traditions, etc. It would be difficult to narrow down exactly what to celebrate for while peopel because the group is so diverse.

You want to know why there's not a "White" history month? It's because white's are pretty much recognized for the whole year. Black people only get 28 days, and the rest is for white people. In history, white people never went through the struggle of being taken from their home land, and having to be slaves and being treated like dirt, have they? Blacks get recognized for being strong, and making differences, such as the civil rights movements, inventions, etc.

how are we cut short?
how would a white month or day be diffferent from any other day?
do you really think white culture and accomplishments are somehow being overlooked?
as the majority, it is easy for us to loose sight of just how pervaissive out culture is. if our culture were really one at risk of being overlooked or even trampled under, we could make the case for a special day or month. right now, we can't.

Because Caucasians are the majority and have enjoyed fundamental freedoms that our government has prohibited others to have based solely on race.
Black history month was instituted in order to spread awareness and education for the public about the joys and suffering that African Americans have endured at the hands of the majority.
Why would Caucasians need a Holiday when we get every day of every month? Just open a history text book and see for yourself. Caucasians wrote history, so let others have a chance to tell us theirs.

Because every month is a "White History Month". Most of our history books were written by Anglos, for Anglos, and about Anglos. Our history has been transcribed with a peculiar Anglo point of view.
It's about time we gave minorities a chance to celebrate their ethnicity, to be proud of whom they are, and what they have offered to our American culture.
Perhaps when our history books tell the story of all, our nation will become one in our celebration of diversity.

EXCELLENT question.. But to have a thing would be considered racist.... Yes, there is a Hispanic chamber of commerce... a black American chamber of commerce and even an Oriental chamber of commerce.. but to have a American only White American chamber of commerce under our present stupid system of government, it would be classified as racist and/or discriminatory
