I have a reputation for being straightforward and honest.Ppl are always telling me that it a good thing but then pple get mad at me (and its some time the same ppl that said it was a good thing).I like the way I am but I get lost when this happens I don't.Its not that I even really care what ppl say but at times I get in big trouble or I make some one cry ( I don't make ppl cry all the time but it has happen befor)then I feel bad.Sometimes I don't even notice when I saythings like I notice but after I say it.

I'm a student and English is not my first language. Even I've been in London for a year, my British friend always tell me that my strong native accent is sometimes quite hard to understand. I really want to improve my spoken English, esp. learn the British pronunciation. Please help!

Recently I wrote a paper, which was to my current knowledge, supposed to be succinct. I wrote the paper a tad poetically with an extended metaphor, etc. and I used "big" words even though I didn't really consider it a big deal until I thought of it on retrospect. Now I think the teacher does not like me, for the paper was 9 pages, as opposed to the typical 3-4 pages, and I feel he may have thought I was trying to pretentious or specious and I am starting to worry he won't like me anymore..

there is a new chemistry teacher at school and he is really mean. he has called multiple students stupid and makes rude comment twords them. for example i was sick yesterday and when i asked him if i had missed anything he replied yes you missed seven periods of school. he then told me that he wouldnt let me make up the work and that next time i should think before i miss school. he also mumbles when he talkes and he does not explain anything. when i was trying to help a student today he said i wasent paying attention. when i told him i was he asked me a question. when i tryed to answer he yell wrong. then he pushed the button on the overhead and the answer and question was there so we had not even learned that yet. how was i suppose to know the answer. its like he just wants us to all fail. i dont know what to do. many parents and students have complained and nothing has happened. is there some kind of petition i can get people to sign or somthing to get him out of the school? thanks

I'm a senior this year and we always do a Homecoming Hallway and I came up with the theme Disney and was thinking about having Disney couples(prince/princess) I need 7 couples because there are 7 couples on Homecoming Court-help would be greatly apprectiated! Thanks

me and all my acting friends tried out for the acting shakespeare team at my school. i thought at all 3 of my auditions i did great. but i didnt end up making it. they only took 7 people out of 34, and my 4 friends all made it. i know its all about auditions and cuts and im fine, but all they talk about is the team and the ppl and how they wear their t-shirts every friday to plays and stuff. i want to scream. i felt like i did so much better, but im happy for them...but im left out and they dont see that. watching in the audience isnt as great as being up there. i can auditon next year again, but if i dont make it 2 times in a row...ill feel worse.

I am looking to apply to a state school in the state that my parents live in (and I grew up), but have not lived there in 5 years. Can I still use their address as my permanent address or is it frowned upon?

Im filling out a form that i have to for completing some student service hours to recieve a letter for my jacket. one of the questions is "Write about something that you learned or grew from by doing this service" the service i did was serve pie to old ladies. These equations really have been frustrating me:

2x - (x - 5) / 4 = (3x -1) / 2 + 1

2x -7 / x + 4 = 5 / x + 4 - 2

(The / means over as a fraction) My main problem is just getting the fractions gone, I know I have to multiply but I dont know by what or what to multiply it to. Can someone solve them and tell me how to get rid of these fractions easily step by step?

ok so I'm 15 and i'm alot into Edu. and all doing well basically. My friends make fun of me and say that hs is only for fun(dating,party,etc) while i disagree with them and say that getting into a college and stuff is more important. Am I normal for saying that? Is one of those things more important then the other one at the age of 15?I'm sooooooooo confused
