So I am going to a community college in a small town in New Mexico. I have only one more year until I finally get my A.A. While going to school full time I am also working at the local college bookstore. By fall 2008-2009 school year I am going to West Texas A&M (but nothing has been set in stone) to receive a teaching certificate.
My problem is that the President of the community college (that am going to right now) likes my work ethics and personality so much that he want to hire me as a recruiter for the school (the position just opened up). It sounds like a lot of fun traveling to different areas, getting an actual paycheck, which I can buy a house, get a dog and a new car, and all of that fun stuff. Or should I go to West Texas which I would finally get my B.A. (I am 25 by the way) move back to my home state, be a full time student, and finish my education on being a teacher.
And if you have not figured it out yet I am a very fickle person so yahoo answers people please help

Recently, I was accepted to a "southern ivy" as an undergraduate business major with a dual concentration. I'm 24. To make matters worse this will be my 5th transfer since 2001, and I've taken 2 years off from school... At my current (lesser known) university, I'll be a senior next year with a 3.4 GPA (not that stellar). However, I truly believe that a more prestigious degree will help me get better opportunities in business, as well as, greatly help my chances of acceptance to a prestigious MBA program. And I'd really like to go to a college that is more nationally known, so I can find better jobs in larger cities on the east coast. Though I believe I'll graduate in 1.5 - 2.5 years from this school, I believe the wait will be worth it. As well as the debt....Am I being foolish or would going to a better school truly make a difference?

If I take classes at a Technical School, will it transfer to a 2 year or 4 year college? How can I find out if there is school with transferable credit? I wouldn't mind going to a technical college if I could take classes in a field that wasn't a dead end. Any advice ?

My 16 y/o son wanted a better job and so took an online CNA course from this school. He completed the course which costs
$676 which HE paid for himself. He did this so he could work this summer WHILE taking it. He was sent a certificate of completion but no certificate number for the state registry even though it said they were accredited. He did this all on his own to show us he could do it. We are unable to reach them by phone and they do not return emails. If anyone knows what options I have please tell me. I will NOT rest until something is DONE!!!! There is one payment left and we sent an email saying this will be held until they contact us. I will be contacting the BBB and whoever else I can to put a STOP to this! If you know anything about this PLEASE tell me! Thank you!

I am looking for an affordable, regionally accredited on-line or correspondence college to finish my BS degree. I need something that only charges about $600 or less per class. Is there anything out there like that? I am trying to avoid the nationally accredited schools at all costs. Thank you for your help.

I would like to become a tax preparer. I currently live on a military base in Germany so I am unable to attend a face-to-face class. I would eventually like to become an EA. Has anyone taken an online program? And, how effective was it for employment opportunities? I am so worried about getting scammed. I found this one school and I am also wondering if anyone has graduated from it. It is called National Tax Training School. Am I wasting my money if I enroll in this program? Please someone help!!!

My husband is in the military and I was wondering, due to the fact that we are going to be moving around a lot, would it be smarter to go to an online college or a community college to get my associates degree in arts and sciences? We have a baby on the way and I have to work. The extra money is nice and I become moody and depressed if I don't work. I've heard that the University of Phoenix is over priced and that a lot of companies do not accept it as a legitimate degree. However, if I do go the community college I'd have to take night classes. Plus there is always a chance that we could get stationed somewhere else...if that happens will my student loan be transfered over to my new school? And will I still only have to start paying once I graduate? Any answers will be appreciated. Thank you!

I’m thinking about enrolling online for classes, it’s a whole program that I will have to take, and I can transfer the credits to a University.

It’s very expensive, but since I am a single mother who works full time Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30. I won’t be able to afford a sitter at nights to take regular classes. So it would be a lot easier for me to do it in the comfort of my home, while the kids are sleep.

Has any one ever taken online classes, if so could you please tell me the experience you went through, and it its worth it.

Thank you

At my school , in order to enroll in AP course or/and accelerated classes but no offical Honors courses exist, you have to take a test. During my freshmen and sophmore year, i consecutively made it into English accelerated and during sophmore year i additionally made it into World History and Geography. my GPA at this point=3.6

My junior year won't be a challenging year for me since i didn't make it to any AP classes i took the test for.
Since it won't be a challenging year , i was planning to enroll in East Los Angeles Community College , taking Psycology on Saturdays. Should i pick another course instead?

I recently joined a youth council that is out of school and i discovered this club when i was doing community service at the office that sponsors it. I have been in CSF since freshmen year , a social/community service all girls club (off campus) since sophmore year and that's about it. I had my own newsletter in my community, but the director never had time to run it through

A quick background:
I was a pre med major for 4 of my 5 yrs with my main major being in engineering. After taking the MCAT and all the prep classes (did well on it), I realized that it might not be the thing for me. I switched gears during my 5th and final year and had more of a focus in the environmental area of engineering (which is what I was focused in when I started college).

Now after taking some time off I've realized that I would like to continue pursuing that field with some added education. I'm not 100% sold on a master's program yet so I thought that I would do a professional certificate program and if all goes well then transfer my credits into a masters program.

My question to you all is do you think that obtaining a graduate certificate is a cerditable advance in education from an employer's view point? Also, is it feasable to acknowledge such a certificate as being a step ahead of other canidate?

I want to make sure I'm not over emphasizing this.
