I'm starting college soon and I'm staying at a community college for one year to start off and save money then I'm transferring to a nearby university. But my friends are so excited to get away and live in a dorm and everything and they tell me that we will see each other all the time and I will visit them and they will always be home -- and I'm happy that they are excited.. they tell me that when I transfer to go to a school to get a dorm but [personally I don't want a dorm..] but anyway, I'm just scared that my friends will just go off to college and forget about me. I want them to have their own experience of college and make lots of new friends .. I'm just worried that I won't see them for a long time.. or ever again..

I have heard that I can transfer colleges after my freshman year. If I am currently in my first semester of freshman year and the college I wish to apply to requests I send in my college transcript, will I be sending in a blank transcript since I am still taking my classes during the first semester?
thanks for your help!

I am special needs (social and emotional issues), and my parents are helping to find me the right help and assistance, but the colleges, all they have looked at so far, don't offer they help which I need. I did well in High School, because they provided me in classes that were in a non-mainstreamed special-ed environment, I also had extra assitance and support, less workload at a slower or easier pace for me. My parents have been looking at several colleges and I we cannot find the right college for me. It seems that colleges do not really care, or at least care far less than they do when I was in High School. I am so overwhelmed and I don't know what to do. How can I go to college like this?

I do not have any degree under my belt right now, but I have completed 1 year at a community college, and I want to pursue a bachelor of science degree in Health Science because that seems to be only right as far as achieving something within a broad range of jobs. Can someone pick an online school that only offers a bachelors degree and up and earn an associates there and then keep continuing their education until they have gotten their bachelors degree? OR do you have to atleast earned an associates degree before you can go to a school that only offers bachelors and up? Also, I have wrote a previous message concerning if anyone knew of accredited pure online schools that offer degrees in Health Science? I would like to find one that is affordable, accredited and can get me employment after I graduate. I don't want any scams! Any help is appreciated.

The liberal arts course that I am looking at taking says that it is a transfer program. I understand that this means it is to prepare you to transfer over to a four year program at a university, but what if I am just looking to get an associates in liberal arts and don't want to make the switch to an expensive university?

I know this varies, but generally, when are most universities starting classes? Do most Universities/colleges start the first week of September? Later, earlier?

In college are the classes that you take the second semester the same as the classes that you take the first semester? Like in High School that you take the A part in the fall and the B part in the spring. Or do you take different classes the second semester? Thanks for your help!

I'm party of a city-wide capter of a sorority. The college I attend has so far refused to recognize my sorority on campus. Our tenents include scholarship and service, and our sisters are stellar students and very active in the community both on and off campus. Still, the College refuses to recognize us, and this causes lots of problems when we want to hold community service events, advertise, or even hold meetings. We have had meetings with the Director of Greek Affairs at school, and even though we are not looking for a house or funding (just recognition and a place on the website is all!) we still haven't gotten far. I need some suggestions to catch the attention of the administration and finally get the recognition we deserve!

i'm a rising senior in high school and i recently became interested in pharmacy. i did some research and it seems there are a couple ways to get a pharmD, the 0+6, 2+4, and 4+4. is the 0+6 similar to the combined ba/md program (you start taking the path of pharmacy right after highschool and you're guaranteed admission into the pharmacy school)?? i understand the 0+6 program is very highly competitive. i have an unweighted 4.0 gpa, took challenging classes (ap chem, calc, physics c-mech, bio, world/us history, etc) and got 5's on most of them. i haven't taken the sat yet, nor the act. but the most worrisome thing is that i don't have a greencard, i have a f-2 visa which counts me as an international student. is it almost impossible for me to get admitted (altho i've lived in the us for 5 yrs)? finally, i would greatly appreciate it if you could jot down all the 0+6 pharmacy schools...thanks!
