I am thinking about going to college to complete my Bachelors degree. Is it really worth it? Does a college degree really pay off?

Scenario: grad school
Me: Quiet, respectful, and polite
I am the only new student this semester. This classmate acts rude by sighing loudly when I speak, interupts me and she even sent me a nasty email saying how much annoyed she is when I speak. I never respond to her emails.

Her behavior is inappropriate and rude. How can I avoid her and her friends when she slandered me in class and said negative things about me that were not true? I am to myself and always helpful to people so I can't understand why she behaves this way to me. I have tried to be nice and say hello to her everytime I see her but she ignores me. Anyways she really irritates me everytime I see her and I try to stay away but she acts like a high-schooler and easedrop on my conversations. My professor witnessed this behavior but did nothing.

I went to a hard school for freshman and sophmore year, then went to an "easy" school for junior year, and now I am having trouble deciding which school I should attend senior year.

-I have the same grades in both schools (good grades)
-I would take the same vigorous courses
-I would have more time for myself and my interests in the easy school
-The hard school, however, would challenge me more

Anyone know what colleges prefer? because I cannot decide which is better for me. Thank you!!

I have a desire to become a Pharmacist, however when looking online, I can only find information on PharmD. Im not sure that this is what I am looking for, As I am not seeking any field outside of strictly being a registered, retail pharmacist. I was wondering if anyone knew the courses required to get a degree in pharmacy, as well as how long schooling took, and a good school for it? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a sophomore attending a uc and was going for my BS in biochemistry for pharmacy, but i got discontinued from this major due to bad grades. i am now undeclared at the uc. i never had bad grades, but the last two quarters werent so great for me. I am thinking of transfering to a cal state where it offers BS and masters in Nursing. The thing is that i would have to do the GE's all over and do the pre-reqs for the impacted major. I would waste a year to get this done, bc the classes i took at my uc wouldnt satisfy the requirements at the cal state. I dont know if i should transfer and start all over (i would do one year to finsih up the requirements, then two years to get my BS in nursing) or stay at the uc and get my bachelors in something else. But then i wouldnt know what career path to go afterwards..maybe pharmacy? (but that would be another 5 years). what do u think is the wisest decision? Serious answers only please! thanks in advance.

For one of my college courses, we must write on a research topic given to us. We must include groups, politicians, etc. that are for or against the topic. I was given the topic of child abuse, and since I don't know of any groups that are for child abuse, I decided to use corporal punishment or spanking, since some people see this as a form of child abuse.

My question for y'all is: Does anyone know of any groups, organizations, etc. that feel as though corporal punishment is okay?

Thanks in advance!

I am just finishing up my freshman year at FGCU in Florida. I am a Bio major right now but I have a couple questions about admissions into med schools...

1) Would a med school rather see a Bio major finish in four years or someone with a double major in Bio and Chem and a minor in Math finish in 5 years?

2) I know getting into medical school is no easy task and that the acceptance rates are at 10-13% on average. I'm very dedicated and want to get into med school and become a doctor with all my heart. I have like a 3.4 GPA and I'm working on my resume with extracurriculars. My question is this: out of the thousands of people that apply to med school how many are actually qualified? Are there tons of English majors with no pre-reqs done or Bio majors with a 2.3 GPAs who (at the last minute) decided to apply to med school? I just want to know my realistic chances of getting into med school.

Please, only if you have real experience or knowledge answer this. Thank you.

i'm a sophomore in highschool with a 4.0 gpa and have a SAT score of around 2000 right now. Im also in IB and play track and wrestle at a varsity level on the school team. Hopefully, I'll raise up the SAT score before i take it in march next year. I live in california and I'm thinking about going to UCLA, Berkeley, Stanford, or one of the Ivy schools. Which would be my best bet? Would I make it into one of the ivy schools? maybe not harvard or yale, but I heard cornell and Upenn wasnt too hard to get into.. any suggestions?

I'm transferring to a four-year in the fall to earn a bachelor's in biology, but I don't know if I should choose the biotechnology (genetics, molecular biology) concentration or the human biology (behavior, physiology, communication, evolution, etc) concentration. I want to apply to a school of public health after graduation for an MPH or an MHS in epidemiology, and ultimately obtain a Ph.D. Does anyone have any advice or experience?

I have no idea what I want to do with my degree but I'm feeling and really depressed. I'm very lonely and my grades have been slipping (A- first year, B+ last year, B to B+ this years depending on how my exams go). I feel as if there is no forward momentum in my life. I'm $7000 in debt with student loans. Exams are almost over and I'm considering my future. I have to start applying for grad schools next year and I don't feel prepared. Would taking a year off to work or travel be beneficial or should I fight it out?
