My younger sister has been accepted to both architecture programs, but has no clue which school to choose. I attend UIC for pre-med and would not recommend it to my mortal enemy, but I know nothing of the architecture school so I will not outright condemn it. Both are around the same price range and student population. Chicago trumps in location, although Urbana probably has a nicer campus.
It really comes down to quality of teaching and prestige of the program, I guess. Which do you think is better for architecture: UIC or U of I ?

The essay is supposed to be a personal statement about my professional/career goals and why I want to attend. How long would you think is sufficient?
I know there's obviously no exact requirement, but I'd like to get an idea of what others think is good, and not too long or too short.

I am taking six classes. There is this class that I feel like I am way behind in and its alot of work. I know I can try to catch up in that class but that will mean my other classes will sufer the consequences. I have so much work to do that I've scheduled myself to study all day everday and just have 40 min to eat but I still won't have enough time for my other class. Plus I've been getting really sick, its hard. I'm not sure to drop it because it'll look bad on my transcript. It will be my fifth class dropped and what if I don't get into any good universities (I'm in a community college right now) Any advice or shared experince will be appreciated. Many thanks!

I need help. I know this is a little too late but i'm a senior in high school and i applied to colleges and i've chosen the best one for me but....I don't know how it works.
When I start to pick out my classes do I pick classes for my major as an undergrad or do they have classes that are required.
I want to go into the medical field.......please help. I went to my school counselor but they arn't any help. To be honest I know that they don't have any idea what they are talking about. and i really don't want to waste money on useless classes.

I visited a bunch of small colleges in the fall and there were a couple that I liked alot. However, lately i've been thinking about going to a big state school. Bigger schools tend to have better sports programs, more majors, more activities, and more people to meet. Should I at least try going to a big college for a year, and transfer to a smaller school if I don't like it. I might as well see what its like, right

I am looking for recommendations for graduate schools in electrical engineering/computer science with distance learning programs. I know there are some very high priced private programs, but I am looking for good, reasonably priced schools. In particular, I am looking for regular universities that have added distance learning programs to their regular, in resident programs.
