I'm thinking I might want to become a theoritical physicist. Can someone please give my me some example of the different fields, how to best become one, some schools offering degrees, and how I can study this subject while I'm in a rural high school.

First and foremost, you want to get a BA in Physics. Why? it gives you the base and ground rules of the stuff. Perhaps you already know it, but i'd still get the degree. When you go for your masters and doctor degree - then you can go for somthing more specialized like Nuclear Physics or Astro Physics.

There are plenty of schools that offer a BA in Physics. Let me tell you this now - Don't worry too much where you get your BA in Physics. A BA in Physics is worth almost nothing in the field as it pretty much just says that you have a general idea of the stuff.

As for learning it and how to become one - it's up to you. If you find yourself looking at things in a different more scientifical view then everyone else then your on your way. The best practices for now are to observe the universe around you. In your limited knowledge, Try to explain things physicaly. Then take that idea and research it to see if you were correct. You'll learn from there on.
