If my carrer is to be a cartoonist, what is the highest degree I can recieve?

I'm leaning to be a cartoonist, is the highest a bachelor's or a master's?

I had a high school friend who went to work for Disney. He just submitted his portfolio and got hired. You don't really need a degree to be a cartoonist. I suppose you could get a PhD in art, but if your goal is to be a cartoonist, you're really just wasting your time trying to get the "highest" degree possible.
