I am looking for recommendations for graduate schools in electrical engineering/computer science with distance learning programs. I know there are some very high priced private programs, but I am looking for good, reasonably priced schools. In particular, I am looking for regular universities that have added distance learning programs to their regular, in resident programs.

Many universities in the U.S. with regular, on campus programs offer engineering degrees by video. It is best to go for one line programs at well respected universities with well respected engineering programs, even though this may cost a little more than other programs.

I would recommend taking a look at the programs at Georgia Institute of Technology. Their Center For Distance Learning has an MS in electrical engineering degree through distance (on line) learning (courses in computer hardware engineering and many other fields of electrical engineering are offered).

They do not offer a computer science degree through distance learning, but from time to time they do offer individual computer science courses through on-line video.

The cost is not low, but I think it is similar to that of other distance engineering programs offered by universities with on campus resident programs.

For computer science, Columbia University's video network, CVN, has a distance MS degree. See their web site at this link:

Again, not what I would call inexpensive, but very consistent with good video engineering programs.
