What should I know about (and what's the possibility of) getting into a grad program for neuroscience if my bachelors degree was for film&television? Obviously the two aren't related but I'm optimistic anyway. A part of me says that no program will want someone that studied the arts, but on the other hand... I did get into a top college (NYU) for what I wanted to study at the time, and I kept a 3.8 GPA or so. Also I got a "founders day" award, it's what nyu hands out to students that reach the highest level of scholastic achievement recognized at the university.

So while my undergrad studies weren't related to grad, I think I did really well in getting my BFA and I plan on getting high GRE scores. How will this fare with the admissions process? I'm also going to take some bio, chem, physics, and psych classes at a community college.

Any advice GREATLY appreciated because I need to know if i'm going about this all wrong, and how an admissions person would interpret all this. thanks!!!

I need to order graduation announcements for my MS degree completion. Is there any place besides Jostens for this? I like these invitations but they are so expensive! I would also like a class ring, but Jostens is again too expensive.

Trust me, I WANT to go to college. I want to get an education and the thought of not going has never crossed my mind.

Anyway, to be an author or a writer, do you go to college? Are there actual classes for that? I am pretty sure you need to for journalism, but I mean an actual author. If so, what would be the best college for writers?

I didnt do well in the december LSAT b/c of an accident. I only got a 154. I dont want to take the Februrary one b/c i want to go to law school in 2007.

My question is, is it true that if I go to an average law school and do very well in it, it's not that difficult to transfer to a prestigious law school after the 1st year? Is it feasible this way? B/c even if I retake the LSAT and got a 180, the average is only 167 and I have to wait until next year. So is transferring a good solution in my situation?

Thanks a lot!!

Just some background information: I'm currently going to a school (Buffalo State College) that I hate for many reasons. I'm going to be transferring to a local, community college (Erie CC) for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. However, for Fall 2008, I plan on going to another college, preferably a SUNY school, for a major in English, with the possibility of a minor in Journalism.

What are the top SUNY schools for English majors? I preferably don't want a huge school, but if that's what it takes, then I'll settle with it. If someone could give me some suggestions of SUNY schools with good English departments, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you could let me know your source for how you know the school has a good English department, that would be great.

On a side note, English at Buffalo State College is a joke - ENG101 was easier than anything at my high school ever was.
