I've decided that I want to finish my B.S. Degree in Mathematics with a teacher certification, and go straight into graduate school right after I graduate. My career goal in life is to become a full-time instructor at a Community College. I know that I must acquire a master's and have 18 hours of the field in order to qualify to teach, but I was told by a former math instructor that hiring committees view a pure Math Master's degree over a Master's in Mathematical Education.

Any tips or suggestions?

Because I heard that even though if you get A's in regular, the colleges only look at honor student first then regulars, so basicly I'm saying being the lowest in honors better than highest in regular?

I was accepted for Gradschool, and starting my Masters in Information Technology on Jan 8, and im a bit worried. I found out that I have to maintain a 3.0 GPA every semester and an overall GPA of 3.5 to stick in the program. Im taking 8 credits, thats equivalent to two courses per semester. I was going for 12 credits initially. I generally do well on IT courses but still im worried at the high standards. Undergrad was shitty, i did OK but I could have done better. So my question, what should I expect on the grad program? is it going to be back breaking study times? Also Im 23, and im not working full time. Im concerened on interact with older people, as im thinking some of them might have families and more mature. I feel like im a little bit immature and might stick out. I love participating in class, but i dont know if I should filter all my answers to make it sound "professional." Undergrad was real easy for me, i mean I felt like i didnt really do much to get a good grade.

Can anyone help me decide if going to uni is the right thing? I want o be a midwife and am at college at the moment studing for the access course. It's really harg going trying to get level 3 on my assingments and fitting all the work in. I don't wanna really kill myself at uni trying to get my degree if I don't get the rewards at the end. My sister is currently in her second year of university, studying a joint honors in English & History. However, she has become disillusioned with her course. She is constantly on edge, making herself ill with worry, hates the thought of going back this semester, but worries that by leaving, she will have failed herself and fears she will find herself in a job she won't like..

There is no pressure from family or friends to complete the course, and she has good GCSE and A level results.
She has gone to the doctors as this is affecting her day to day life so much, and will recieve counsilling in due course, but feels unable to make the final decision, fearing uncertainty.

What advice do you have for her? Sensible answers only please!!!

A. An Ivy League grad earning $300,000-$600,000 year as a partner in a law firm
B. A state school grad who became at least a deca-millionaire through investment and entrepreneurship

A or B?

Say that both persons A and B are of equal intellectual ability and love what they do.

What is the best book or study source you have used to prepare for the GRE? I only have about 2 months before my first try. My time is also in limited supply, I am carrying a full class load of 17 credit hours; including organic chem 2 and physics 2.
