My son aspires to be a car designer. Though he is still in high school, which courses does he need to pursue?

Some high schools have Auto-CAD courses. Basically a computer automated graphics course. This will greatly help him because all current car designers use these type of programs. Also any Art courses such as graphic arts would be of great use.

If he is looking towards engine design and mechanics then he should take engineering courses and car mechanic courses. Of course these would also help nonetheless.
