Higher Education (University +) - November 2006

I am 23. I have been working on my undergrad since I was 17 and am about to graduate. I have never changed my major. Instead, I entered college as a high honors student with no clue on what I wanted to do after graduation. I have only taken 12 hours a semester. I have recently discovered that I love research. I also know that my dream job is teaching at a university. Both of which require a Masters degree at the minimum. Up until this semester I was planning on entering a health education master's program upon graduation. With my newfound love of research I am debating this.
Should I learn from my past indecisive nature and put off grad school and work until I am dead certain on what I want? I have already been accepted to a heal ed masters program- should I enter that program? Is it easier or harder to enter grad school after taking time off?
Thanks!

They can't even award a Bachelor's degree and who do they think they are trying to boost their bank account by making students take unnecessary classes? There are a lot of public high schools that don't require foreign language.

To start off, I' am a 14 year old Freshman at Highland Park Highschool (The 12th Best High School in the Nation) and the way it looks to me...I will not have the future that I want.

My father and uncle are both crazy well known doctors. I don't want to be a doctor at points. I'm thinking about being a business man (Something dealing airlines or something). If I was a doctor I would be an orthodontist.

Everytime I think of my future I do not feel success I do not feel anything!

I'm taking all Pre-AP courses and thinking, wishing, and dreaming to go to Princeton or Stanford University.

Right now my grades are mostly B's

Thank You For Your Time :-)

I did not really care so much during my undergraduate career. I partied a lot and did not study so much. The sheer fact that I maintained a GPA higher than 3.0 is amazing based on my study habits. When I finally did start caring, it was too late--my GPA was already stuck in the lower 3's.

I have looked into Post-Bac programs, and I have also considered Master's degrees. In looking at Master's degrees, I am considering a degree in a science vs. a degree in education. Teaching on the high school level would be fun, but I still feel a calling to do medicine. I am wondering if getting a Master's in Education will at all help my shot at getting accepted into medical school.

I know that there are numerous ways to improve one's chances at getting into medical school, I just want to know if my way is a good one. If not, what should I do?

Don't you think general classes should only be required for the individual majors to which they are relevant? I just see a big waste of time and money here, especially for those who already know what major they're going to choose. (I transferred my french biology degree and I'm still required to take the general courses)
