I commute, about 25 miles or so. I'm now considered "non trad" just because I work almost full time and am 25. During my drive, I listen to music, talk on the phone, or listen to NPR. I don't share the ride, except once in a great while. Sometimes it kind of sucks having a lot of free time between meetings, class, whatever, but I make sure to bring my ipod & homework or other things that need accomplished to fill up the free time.

I commute. It's about a 20 minute drive. I planned all my schooling on two days during the week. And, I put them with 15 minutes between finish and start time so I could walk in between classes, but not have to worry about what to do with my time. That way, I save gas and I'm not bored. At lunch time I have an hour and a half break, so I go to a restaurant, like Olive Garden and pass the time by ordering, eating, and working on a little homework. I don't ride with anyone nor does anyone ride with me. And, I usually jam out to music in the morning on the way.... hip-hop or techno or funky music ("tequila" and "tootsie roll").

I am a non traditional student and I have to commute to school. It sucks. I have 2 kids and a full time job in addition to full time school, and it is crazy. I would love to sugar coat it, but I have a 1 hour commute to work and with school smashed in there, it's hard. But it's worth it, and it's totally possible. I listen to music and suffer from mild road rage to pass the time. I round-trip 50 miles a day, city traffic. My best advice is to see if your school offers online classes and take as many of them as possible!! :)

I used to commute to college.. I hated it. Could never find parking and paying for parking all day just sucked. I drove like 15 minutes my junior and Senior year. Never shared a ride because I had to work right after classes.

My female pal and that i are in actuality doing an analogous factor, the place we can wait from 12:30-one million:fifty 5 to six:30-7:30 for our classes to start.
