I am a college student who happen to be not so good at academics. Hence, I only go to state university instead of Ivy League Univ. like Harvard, Yale, Princeton.
My parents often tells me that I won't get a good job or make good money if I don't go to top-notch school and make good grades. It always hurts hearing that as it is NOT my intention that I am not such a good student. Although they say it for my well-being, it sometimes makes me really depressed and even suicidal at times.
I know education is important. But I don't believe higher education always means mroe happiness. I wanna ask u guys. How happy are you being a Ivy Leaguer or Ivy League grad and making hefty sums of money and recognition from people wherever you go? I just wanted to hear from first-hand account. Because based on what my parents tell me, it must be a fantastic life every day. Thanks in advance for any insights.

In college....do people really have random one noght stands and stuff all the time? Is it really bad that I would not want to have any one night stands.....I don't mind going to parties and having fun and stuff....Is there really as much pressure and stuff as I hear? Is it anything like high school where you have to go daily? I was looking at a collage book thing and it said a class is only like3-4 hours...? With all the classes together, its around 70 hours... need laptop while at work, do not get paid for over time and do not take work at home, I download images and information from the net for my classes, and always use power point to make my clases, office to keep my appointments, excell at home for expenses. burn cds and dvd. Have ipod and love music, use for my job and entertainment at home
