my lil sis is really smart and wants to skip to grades to be in my 6th grade classes, should she do it?

It all depends on how mature she is. I skipped a grade in high school and for me it worked out great.

You have to take into consideration the age difference, and social differences she would be exposed to. I don't think she should because in the long run, it won't really make a difference. If she is bored with her grade, perhaps she should look into GATE classes or things like that that will challenge her mind. Also, how would you feel if your younger sis was in the same grade as you? If she wants to get ahead in life, then I would suggest waiting to skip a grade/finish early in her college years.

I would not advise it. Academically, it probably would not be a problem. But if you're trying to move up to a higher grade because you're bored, you'll probably still be bored one grade up, so there's no big advantage there.

Socially it not good. From then on you're a year younger than the rest of you class, so when they're old enough to say get their drivers licenses, and later go to bars, you're still too young. Plus kids can be cruel, and take the attitude "we worked to get to this grade, why should you just be able to come in?"
