Not counting the founding fathers, few have done as much good for America than Bill Clinton.
It's a shame he had to do his work between Bush bookends. He repaired the damage the first Bush caused, only to have his work destryed by the 2nd Bush.
What a tough situation. The only way to balance it out would be to let another Clinton bail us out again from another failed Bush preesidency. That would be poetic. That's why I'm voting for Hillary in 2008.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt, for saving Americans during the 30s Depression with his many make work projects.
Martin Luther King, although never elected to anything , he tried his best to help not just blacks but all people to realize non violence is the only way.
LBJ for passing the Civil Rights Act of 64 and the Voters Registration Act.
John F. Kennedy for launching the space race and allowing younger people all around the world to dream of better things. Robert F. Kennedy for trying to continue that dream.
Jimmy Carter for being an incredible humanitarian.
