I always did well in school without studing. I cram before exams. Now I'm scared because in a program you have to be consistent with study skills and you must retain (not forget) the material.

I don't wanna start on the wrong foot. Also I don't wanna start really working hard then turn into the slacker I always am after a few weeks.

Any Advice?

my parents just left after moving me into college about 4 hours ago and i have not been able to leave my room since. i cannot stop crying and thinking about them and how much i miss them and love them. this is the hardest thing ive ever done, and i dunno if im gonna make it. right now i feel like just going home to community college and being with my family because i miss them so much. i dont feel like i can make it through this. i know its supposedly going to get better, but right now i just dont see that happening

I have tested before, done well in every area but "word arrangement". There are three words in this word, what one word do all the rest have in common and so on. Can't get those for the life of me.

What I was wondering is what weakness, if you will, that translates into in the "life skills" department. People that don't do well in that area don't usually do well in yadda, yadda, yadda. I was just curious if there was any info on that matter.

I know that it is a historically black university, but I just wonder if they don't accept the white applicants, or if there aren't many white applicants? Which do you think it is? And do you think it is appropriate to call and ask them for those statistics?

I graduated with a BA in Psychology with a minor in American Studies in August of 2004. I am currently considering going back to school for an MSW degree. I am interested in doing nonprofit work. I would ideally like to work for an NGO or nonprofit organization, perhaps doing fundraising or another job?? Does this sound like a good degree for me to get? Thanks in advance.
