Does anyone know what the possibility of me getting government grants for schooling is? I am a military wife and stay at home mom, and if you know a whole lot about the military, you know we don't make a lot of money? What do you think?

Basicly I am paying for my school this year however my parents claim me on thier taxes still im 20 years old i have my own apartment and i work. I need help with school Two years ago when i applied I did not get anything because my parents made to much. How can I let them know that my parents are not paying for my school this year-due to the divorece contract my parents etablished a few years ago.

I've applied to transfer to Ohio University for this Fall 2007 quarter and have been admitted but haven't really done anything since because I thought my mind was made up to go to Ohio State University. But recently I have been thinking things over and have realized that Ohio University is a better suite for me since it's smaller. Does Anyone know if it is too late to go to OU? My gut feeling says no, since I've already been accepted into the school...but I'm not sure.

I live with my parents, but they are not going to help pay for my school. I was going to do fafsa, but my parents make to much money, so i dont think it will work. I dont really want to get loans cuz I dont want to get stuck with big bills and interest when i graduate, but I might have to. Anyone know of the best place to get student loans with the best rates. I can use any advice possible. thanks

I am attending college this fall semester, and I am getting married this August. On all of my financial aid forms I am putting only my information for 2006. I also have for the form that asks you to estimate your income for 2007, and I only put down my info, and never mentioned that I'm getting married.

Once we are married, will I need to change this? Or will it be okay since I got married after the forms were required, and just not worry about it.

I don't want to tell them if I don't need to, because with my fiance and my income combined, I probably won't receive any aid at all.

Son just got his SAT’s scores and did well. Not sure what type of money is out there for him next year when goes to college. We are in Ohio, and he currently attends a private college prep academy.

Break out on the scores:
Critical Reading 740 score range: 710 – 770
Math 760 score range: 730 – 790
Writing 750 score range: 710 – 770

I owe total of 25k from salliemae, and I'm about to start repaying my student loan in November. I got money from them on four different occasions - 1 loan/semester. If I consolidate all my loans, how much will it affect my credit score?

I have a close friend who currently has capped out their loan limit from the federal government. What makes matters even worse is that they were overpaid $2200 by the government, which must be paid for her to even be considered for other loans. Currently she is at around $46,000 and she still has three semesters left. Would it be better for her to go ahead and pay the $2200 now and take her chances on being able to get some other type of supplemental loan or should she try an alternative route of loan? If so, what? Also, it may be important to add that she is not currently working.

I recently lost my scholarship. I am not eligible for loans, as I have no credit, and my parents won't cosign. I considered the military, but it is against my beliefs to be a part of an organization that may be required to kill people, even in the act of protecting others. Is there any peaceful organization that will pay for college like the military does? Finding a job isn't enough, as I would have to have someplace to live while working there. Any advice?

i got accepted that my college but i don't want to enroll there again for some personal reason and i was given financial which i have not accepted yet, since i don't want to enroll there again can i ask them to transfer my Financial.aid to the community college that i want to attend? is it possible thanks people.
