The other person is right. You can apply for them during your senior year. HOWEVER don't expect a FULL RIDE scholarship unless you have a VERY HIGH GPA, SAT scores, etc or very good in football, etc. Scholarships, if you are lucky, pay for tuition, maybe housing and books, DOes not pay for lab fees, extra fees, a new car, etc. Most only pay for part of tuition. (500 or 1000), etc. Apply for pell, loans, etc and have a back up plan.

You can apply for scholarships while a senior, but one piece of advice I've heard also is to contact local places like your Lion's Club, Rotary, etc. A lot of times these places have available scholarships, but no one gets them because they don't know about them. Depending on your course of study, for example, the medical field, check with your local health system or hospital (letter/email inquiries are preferred over phone calls).
If you wanted to be in law enforcement, contact your local police department or police union.
Pell Grants are available on a one time basis to college studens, and do NOT have to be paid back. The one I got paid for an entire school years' worth of books.
I would avoid financial institutions if you can; you will pay more in the long run and you really don't need to go that route. Finance your schooling year to year, and back up your claim to scholarships with great grades !

When you apply for scholarships during your senior year, try fastweb.com. You sign up, tell them the univerisities you're looking at, some things about you, and they tell you about scholarships you qualify for. It won't be a full ride but it will definitely help. If you play a sport then you may can get an athletic scholarship.
Hope I helped!

You cannot recieve a scholarship while you are in high school because you don't need one. You can apply for scholarships during your senior year and, if academically or athletically talented perhaps be awarded one. You won't get the scholarship unitl you go to college however.
