In basic middle school classes, its unusual to find a teacher who 'curves' the grades. The students need to know these basic standards and if they have not learned them, they cannot pass the class. But when you get into advanced college classes, more courses ARE graded on a curve. The material is so difficult that the professors just push a ton of information on students and see how much they can swallow. It wouldn't seem to fair to fail all the college students. So the question is, in general, should grades be curved or not??

You have an unknown mass of magnesium, with a solution of hydrochloric acid of unknown concentration. Design an experiment, with the expected results, to determine which is the limiting reactant.

Honestly, I'm reading the question the same way you would. I don't have any extra information that would be useful for you. Which is probably why I don't really understand this. My teacher did do an experiment of this in class though I could hardly see the reaction. I'm assuming that it bubbles which means it's creating a gas .. but really I have no clue.
Please help ! ~~
thanks in advanceee!

My daughter's middle school is a cess pool. The teachers are overwhelmed. Lunchtime there is awful. We were trying to brainstorm on how we could make it better. We would really love some practical ideas that we could apply or pursue. As a parent, I'd really like to able to support teachers who seem forced to spend more time on behavior than teaching. Is it possible to achieve such a change in this day and age? Thank you for your thoughts.

I currently have a liberal arts degree that does not pay the bills. I want to get a degree in computers so I can make a lot of money and I am wondering what the best route would be. I heard computer engineering degrees are the best in terms of making good money and want to go that route. The problem is that the graduate school in computer engineering won't accept me with my current undergrad degree and said I would need to get a 2nd BS. However, there is a masters degree in computer science I would be eligible for if I take 3 prereq classes. Which should I do, the masters in computer science or the 2nd bachelor's in computer engineering?
