The student was put out by her Mother and her former teacher, currently mentor, took her in. The teacher obtained her administrators approval before allowing the student to move in. Should this teacher lose her job?

First off, I think the word you are looking for is 'unethical.'

I don't really see how taking in a potentially homeless teenager off the streets and giving her a home is immoral. Unless there is some immoral ulterior motive you have not mentioned.

The teacher obtained permission prior to what happened. The student is a former student, not a current one.

The student is 18 and therefore a legal adult.

What exactly is your problem with this? And why on earth should this teacher lose her job?

Either I am being really dumb, or there are some significant details missing from your question.

No way should the teacher lose her job. They are both adults. It seems like the teacher is just trying to help. Its called kindness, I dont think many people know what that is.

No. The girl is no longer a student and is an adult. Technically its two adults living together.

If they are both adults the it's their business. If they are opposite sex then it seems kind of creepy, but in America adults have the right to be creepy.
