I want to be a commercial pilot and am in High School. Is there a preferred college major that I got to do that will give me an edge to be hired as a commercial pilot ? Thanks a lot !

To me, Oxford and Cambridge are the only universities outside of the U.S. that I've herd of. I'd like 2 no how their athletic rivalry compares 2 the ones over on this side of the pond (i.e. Harvard/Yale, Ohio State/Michigan, USC/UCLA, Georgia/Florida Duke/North Carolina, etc.) I'm pretty sure that the one major difference is how commercially hyped college sports is over here as opposed 2 the like beyond American universities.

My history class is very boring. All we do is write vocab, do worksheets, and read the chapters in the book outloud. Then when we have tests we have to write longggg essays and he is very specific on it. Then in my math class we have homework almost every single night. All we do in class is go over the bellring, review the previous nights homework, and sometimes do some notes. She hardly ever teaches us anything. We had 43 grades (mainly hw) last 9 weeks. Then in my science class we do the same thing literally every single day. Copy down notes from the board, write vocab, answer questions from the book, and do worksheets. The only time we do anything different is on test days. Then my english class is BORING. All the teacher does it talk about pointless stuff. She gets off topic and its so annoying. I hate my classes.

My algebra 2 class we had 43 grades the first 9 weeks (mostly homework). So far this 9 weeks we have had 16 grades (and were 3 weeks in). She gives us homework atleast 3 days a week plus quizzes, tests, bellringers, and classwork. She doesnt teach us. Thats why she assigns us homework. She thinks we will learn it ourselves by doing homework. Do you think its outrageous to give 16 grades over 2 1/2 weeks and 43 over 9 weeks?

I am a Junior in college. I am working very hard to get good grades and often choose not to party. The problem though is I have friends that are females here but on a relationship side I feel that they all see me as unattractive because I care a lot about my studies (gpa 4.0 Mathematics major). I heard this kid at my school talking and saying that he was lucky he got into college last year because he has a MySpace and that colleges are declining people because the have a MySpace or a Facebook.

I really don't think that's true.
