I heard this kid at my school talking and saying that he was lucky he got into college last year because he has a MySpace and that colleges are declining people because the have a MySpace or a Facebook.
I really don't think that's true.
I'm just curious about what other people think of all that. So, what do you think?

They aren't declining you BECAUSE you have a page. However, if you fill it with pictures of you doing illegal things or generally acting like an idiot, they may take that into consideration when they decide whether or not they want your actions reflecting on their school.
You put it online so it's public - anyone can use it for anything.

not because you have a MySpace or Facebook but they do look at them and may decline you for what you have on there.
Employers are doing the same thing.
Take a look at your account and make sure everything there is what you'd want an admissions rep to see. No 16 year olds drinking up a pint, etc....

definite there some colleges in which you may take those styles of instructions, yet they are in a lot of circumstances the community college ones. 4 twelve months college ones require a kind, probably money to adhere to, and essays. I had taken a cake adorning class once at a community college. And definite, I did meet my better 1/2 in school. It changed into our freshman twelve months at Michigan State college. we are meant for another!
